“Stream Guardians” is a non-profit organization controlled by a Board of Directors, directed by Chairman, Tim Clingerman.  The Stream Guardians partner with the Pavia Sportsmen Association, Bedford County Conservation District, Bedford Chapter of PA CleanWays and local municipalities.

I.                  Mission

To protect Bob’s Creek and tributaries so that future generations can enjoy recreational and other uses in a high quality watershed.

II.               Purpose

Stream Guardians should protect and help manage Bob’s Creek Watershed resources both on private and public lands.  Be a catalyst for:

III.           Objectives

1.     Clean up of litter, waterways, roads and dumps within the watershed.

2.     Identify/resolve sedimentation issues from disturbances along watershed that impact on Bob’s Creek waterways.

3.     Develop newsletter to keep all interested parties abreast of activities and issues impacting watershed.

4.     Be a catalyst to secure funding for improvements on the watershed for both public and private lands.

5.     Develop communication link with representatives at Township, County, State and Federal levels that can provide assistance to Stream Guardian efforts.

6.     Be an education source to establish training on successful methods that have been used by other organizations to resolve septic/nutrient issues, solid waste issues, and junk vehicles.  Provide recommendations to local township government on ordinances to resolve.

7.     To monitor Bob’s Creek Watershed water quality.

8.     To provide watershed education to all school districts within the watershed.

9.     To provide, improve and protect water quality and fishery within the watershed.

10.  To provide contacts and how to information to landowners to encourage protection on watershed issues!
